The week has finally arrived. We are excited to be attending the 1st ever Rendezvous in the Ozarks event hosted by Natural State Overland. The event is the 1st of it's kind in the area and is both an expo and off-road trails style event.
Attendees get the pleasure of hitting the trails for half a day and the other half of the day is open to vendor booths, product demos, and classes. Many of us our familiar with the Overland Expo events and have been longing for something similar hear in the midwest area. This will be the 1st run at it and we couldn't be more excited to see what the area has to offer. If you haven't check out the event info, visit the link below for more details.
After 2 years of wanting to attend Overland Expo East, we finally decided this would be the year to get it on the calendar early and make it officially happen. Well I am happy to say that the early planning paid off and we made it.
We left St. Louis on Thursday evening and headed to Knoxville with a caravan of 5 other rigs: 3 4runners and 2 Tacomas. Friday morning made for an early day as we finished the last leg of the trip and arrived at the Biltmore Estate late morning. What an unbelievable place! The photos don't do the place justice by any means. It is hard to capture the scale of how massive the property and house actually are. If you have time, stop by there and take the tour. You won't regret it.
Aside from the awesome property, we were blown away with the size of the event. I have never seen such a diverse group of vehicles or area with as many roof top tents. It was a site to see. Every make, model, and style seemed to have been there and each persons personality shown through by their builds.
The vendor area took us a solid 8+ hours over 2 days to make it through. Whether it was talking to vendors about product, checking out new gear, or sharing build ideas, there was no shortage of conversations to be had or things to be seen. We were happy to see so many of the vendors that we carry product lines for and it was nice to put a face to the name.
As far as the classes go, we really lacked planning on this part and will have to do better next time. There were various classes offered throughout the day but our time seem to be filled with walking around and chatting with others so we lost track of time. We did get a chance to demo a JKU through the BFG course and a Land Rover Discovery Sport which were both pretty unbelievable rigs. If you go, make sure to plan time to do these courses. They are well worth your time.
Overall, Expo was an amazing event where we were able to make new connections, see old friends, and share some great memories. We will definitely be back next year. Who knows? Maybe as a vendor...
It will soon get some much need love with new timing belts and a water pump, fluids changed, and good once over to see what else should be done. Stay tuned to see the build come together over the new year.

Happy Monday Lads & Gents. This week we have decided to start a new weekly posting called the "Product of the Week." Each week we will spotlight a different product from our line up and give some more insights into those products. This week we are featuring the ARB Speedy Seal Tire Repair kit, a MUST have for any Overland or Off-road Adventurer.
If you haven't already encountered a flat tire on the trail or road, it's only a matter of time. It is inevitable with the kind of abuse we end up putting our tires though. While most of the time, our spare tire will work as a replacement just fine, there may be the occasion that we need to patch the punctured tire. That's where this ARB Tire Repair Kit comes in handy. It has everything you need to plug/patch a tire in a dire situation. If you don't have one in your rig, pick it up today!

Sunday we had the pleasure of heading down to Flat Nasty Offroad Park in Jadwin, Mo with the crew of Mo4wd for beautiful day on the trails. With temps in the mid 70's and clear, sunny skies, we wouldn't have asked for a better day to be out wheeling with some good friends. 3 4runners, 1 Tacoma, 1 Toyota Pickup, and 1 Xterra made up the trail group for the day. Here are a few pics from the day.
